Betty Jean Hinchman, of Morehead City, North Carolina, formerly of Beverly, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Our loving mother and grandmother will be deeply missed as she entered her eternal home. Betty was a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord deeply. Her faith was an important part of who she was and a source of comfort throughout her life.

Betty was the daughter of the late Ray and Elsie Swecker and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Hinchman.

She is survived by her three daughters, Julie Matthews (Randy), Brenda Miller (Mike), and Jennifer McLaughlin (Dennis); five grandchildren, Ashley, Samantha, Christopher, Jaime, and Elijah; and four great-grandchildren, Reese, Ryder, Jase, and Sydney. She also leaves behind her beloved and favorite companion, her dog, Bandit.

Betty will be remembered and deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
