Barbara A. Segreto, 77, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
A memorial service to honor Barbara’s life will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 6th at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, officiated by Pastor Ron Estes. The family will receive friends following the service.
Barbara was born on September 4, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Alfred and Evelyn Neill. Barbara grew up and attended high school in the same South San Antonio neighborhood. She was truly, an all-things Texas girl.
Barbara worked diligently for more than 25 years for the Marine Corps Exchange System at Cherry Point, where she provided exceptional service and caring friendship to her customers. Barbara loved her Marines and Sailors, as well as the employees she worked with over the years - many of whom affectionately referred to her as “Mama” Barbara.
Barbara found joy in her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Breath of God Church. She had a passion for gadgets, always staying up to date with the latest trends. Her love for animals was evidenced in her affection for Yorkie dogs, whom she cared for deeply.
Barbara was a loving wife for 51 years to her sweetheart, Frank. Their love was a testament to her dedication and the strength of her marriage. As an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she poured her love, wisdom, and care into each generation, leaving a lasting impact on her family's lives.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Frank Segreto Jr.; son, James Hardy and wife Christine of Newport; brother, Jack Neill of Round Rock, TX; grandchildren, Daniel O’Conor, Jasmine Copeland, Karen Willcox, Jamison Hardy, Jonas Hardy, Zachary Willcox, and Chase Sean Hardy; 5 precious great-grandchildren; and of course, her Yorkies, Daisey and Molly.
