Barbara Anne Allman, 82, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
A funeral service to honor Barbara’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 20th at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park in Newport. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born on November 7, 1941, Barbara was the daughter of the late Stanley and Palmira Bolek. She grew up in West Warwick, Rhode Island. In 1974, she and her family relocated to eastern North Carolina, where she would make lasting friendships and build a beautiful life.
Barbara was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family more than anything. She also loved being by the water watching the boats and ducks and enjoying the sunshine. She enjoyed Bingo and game shows.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Maryann Allman Plumley of Durham, NC; sons, John Allman of San Francisco, CA and Jim Allman (Jennifer Ring) of Wake Forest, NC; sisters, Stanis Terenzi of Coventry, RI and Rosemary Jackson (John) of Denmark; grandchildren, Brian Allman (Danielle) of Havelock, NC, Brittany Allman of Chapel Hill, NC, and Irene Allman of Gainesville Florida; and great-granddaughter, Zinnia Philippe of Chapel Hill, NC.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney G. (Butch) Allman and sister, Palmira Padula.
