Ashley Rogers Dicktel

July 15, 1966 — August 16, 2025

Greenville

Ashley Rogers Dicktel, 59, of Greenville, NC, passed away peacefully at her vacation home on Harkers Island, NC, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Ashley was born in Kinston, NC on July 15, 1966, to the late Lettie Laurietta “Laura” Sparrow and James “Jimmy” Holman Rogers. She spent her childhood playing in the sand dunes in Atlantic Beach and Morehead City.

Ashley earned her associate’s degree in business administration from Pitt Community College in Greenville, NC. She worked in Human Resources at Pitt Community College with her best friend Debbie McGowan.

In 1997, she married her husband, David Dicktel, and together they raised their family. As a mother she had quite the creativity, becoming the fun house in the neighborhood for kids to hang out at and had the biggest love when it came to holidays including Halloween and Christmas.

Ashley loved her dogs and was known for her sense of humor. She enjoyed spending her time on the beach, including clamming, kayaking, and walking the shoreline of Shackleford Banks with the ponies.

One of her lifelong dreams was to be a children’s book author and in 2018 that dream came true when she wrote Dino Day at the Beach with her daughter, Lauren Dicktel.

Ashley is survived by her husband of 28 years, David Dicktel; daughters, Lauren Dicktel and Addison Haskins; grandchildren, Caroline Haskins, Kennedy Haskins, and Brody Haskins; her Corgis, Kitty and Pebbles; and grand dog Corgi, Peaches.

Family and friends are welcome to submit online condolences at www.mundenfuneralhome.net.

Arrangements by Munden Funeral Home & Crematory in Morehead City, NC.
