Ann Eure

Ann Swanson Eure, 74, of Wilmington, formerly of Greensboro, died Saturday, April 24, 2010, our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Morehead City with the Revs. Jerry Johnson and Mance Caison officiating. Burial will follow in Bayview Cemetery. A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Thursday, April 29, 2010, at West Market Street United Methodist Church in Greensboro.

Ann was raised in Morehead City, moved to Greensboro and then Wilmington. She attended Meridith College. She was an employee of Health and Hygiene of Greensboro for 15 years, was a member of the West Market Street United Methodist Church. She was a foster mother for ten years and kept over 100 babies.

She is survived by her daughters, Tracy Kuney and husband Paul of Wilmington, Heidi Cohen and husband JD of Jamestown, and April Leonard of Raleigh; sons, Hilliard M. ?Bud? Eure of Morehead, Glenn Eure and companion Amy McCoin of Greensboro, and Matthew Eure of Wilmington; mother, Sudie Louise Swanson of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Frank Swanson of Morehead City, Tommy Swanson and wife Mary Elizabeth of Virginia Beach, VA, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401 and the Childrens Home Society of NC, 604 Meadow Street, Greensboro, NC 27405-6600.
