Farmer Family Home
2:00 - 4:00 pm (Eastern time)
Andrea Robinson Farmer, 78, of Emerald Isle, NC passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Carteret Health Care.
A celebration of Andrea's life will be held at the family home on Emerald Isle on Saturday, May 16. Family and friends are welcome to drop by between 2 and 4 p.m. to share stories, laughter, and memories of her well-lived life.
Andrea was born on August 16, 1947, in Snow Hill, NC. She spent much of her life in Wilson before she and Bill retired to Emerald Isle, where she truly loved coastal living. Some of Andrea's happiest days were spent boating, clamming, searching for seashells, fishing, and enjoying time with family and friends.
Andrea will be remembered for her incredible work ethic, her amazing ability to grow plants and flowers, and her love of games and friendly competition. She never knew a stranger and could convince just about anyone to sit down for a game of Yahtzee or Phase 10. No matter the game or the stakes, Andrea always seemed to find a way to win - and she loved every minute of it.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 62 years, William "Bill" Farmer; her loving daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Farmer Bass and Rodney of Kernersville, NC; her grandchildren, Kristin Bass Thrash and husband, Baker, of Opelika, AL and Hunter Bass and wife, Stacey, of Walkertown, NC; and her great-grandchildren, Lyla Bass and Emersyn Thrash.
Andrea is also survived by her sister, Becky Brantley and husband, Stan, of Wilson, NC; her brother, Curtis Robinson and wife, Betty Jo, of Gulf Breeze, FL; sisters-in-law, Cathy Mullins of Texas, Hilda Batts and husband, Larry, of Concord, NC, and Rose Barnes, also of Texas; and brothers-in-law, David Farmer and wife, Wanda of Elm City, NC, and Arthur Farmer and wife, Janet, of Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Bessie Horton Gay and James Gay; her siblings, Morris Robinson and Glory Johnson; and her brother-in-law, Eric Farmer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any location of Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice.
Family and friends are welcome to submit online condolences at www.mundenfuneralhome.net.
Arrangements by Munden Funeral Home & Crematory in Morehead City, NC.
