Anastasia “Stacey” Veros, 94, of Pine Knoll Shores, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at her home.
Stacey was born on August 12, 1930, in Port Jefferson, New York, to the late Charles and Eugenia Geotakes. She moved here and stayed for over 29 years. Known for her kind heart and warm, welcoming spirit, Stacey touched the lives of everyone she met. A devoted member of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wilmington, her faith was central to her life, guiding her generous heart. An exceptional cook and talented baker, Stacey was especially known for her delicious Greek pastries which she lovingly shared with family, friends, and neighbors.
Stacey was also a dedicated volunteer and community leader. As one of the founding members of the Friends of the Bogue Banks Public Library, she worked tirelessly to support education and literacy. She gave her time generously to the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium and at the local History Museum for over 25 years, served on their board and managed the Museum Gift Shop. They honored her by naming the Museum Gift Shop after her. May Stacey’s memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

Veros (Irma) of Long Island, JD Biddle (Samantha) of Kentucky, Jesse Lee Biddle (Madison) of South Carolina; and great grandchildren, Vivienne Veros and Jesse Lee Biddle Jr.
