Alvis Gerald Wells, 85, of Cape Carteret, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at his home.
The family will receive family and friends at 11:30am, on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the family home.
Gerald was born on September 30, 1939, in Kinston, North Carolina, to the late Herman and Thelma Wells. He was a man full of life who loved boating and golfing, he never missed a chance to dance, especially the cha-cha. Known as a true social butterfly, he brought joy and laughter wherever he went. He had a gift for teaching all the neighborhood kids how to water ski and camping at Kerr Lake.
Before making his home in Cape Carteret, Gerald lived in Raleigh for over 39 years, where he built many lasting friendships. He loved spending time with his beloved Pat, his wife and best friend. May Gerald be remembered for his warmth and kindness, and the way he made everyone feel welcome.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife Patricia of the home; daughter, Andrea Wells of Cape Carteret, N.C.; and granddaughter, Sigourney Wells.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his son, Alvis Gerald Wells Jr.
