Alice Thompson Woodlief

Alice Thompson Woodlief, 77, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.

A funeral service to honor Alice's life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 23rd at Munden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Alice was born on April 25, 1948, in New York, to the late George Thompson and Marie Walsh Thompson.

Alice worked in the accounting department at a research company for many years. She approached her work with dedication, quiet determination, and a steady reliability that others came to depend on.

She found happiness in life's simple pleasures. Alice loved being outdoors, especially tending to her flowers and working in her yard, which she took great pride in. Living by the water brought her joy - whether boating, fishing, or simply soaking in the salty breeze. And if there was music playing it would be her favorite beach tunes which always made her happy.

Above all else, Alice was devoted to her family. She loved deeply and wholeheartedly, always putting those she loved first. Time spent together - whether around the table, on the water, or in everyday moments - meant everything to her.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Terry Woodlief; daughter, Tina Woodlief of Goldsboro, NC; sister, Patricia Perry (Brian) of Raleigh, NC; brother, Chip Thompson; granddaughter, Danielle Woodlief; and great grandson, Jayden Hopkins.
