The NC Seafood Festival Twin Bridges Race

The 2026 NC Seafood Festival includes the Twin Bridges Race, a certified 8K runner's course, perfect for beginners and veterans alike. The event kicks off at the NOAA Laboratory in Beaufort and takes the scenic route over the Morehead City Bridge, through historic downtown Morehead City, over the Atlantic Beach Bridge, and ends at the finish line right on the AB Causeway!

We are proud to sponsor the event and get to cheer on our staff member, Nick Fuller, as he participates in the race!

Remembrance Ceremony

The Remembrance Program begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by candle lighting and light refreshments.

The holiday season can be a difficult time of year for those who have lost a loved one. The Munden family invites you to join us, in the Havelock Mausoleum Chapel, as we honor your loved one during our annual remembrance service officiated by Rev. James Daub.

We invite you to place an ornament on our trees of remembrance in honor of your loved one. The trees will be on display through December at our Morehead City and Havelock locations. If you would like your ornament returned, please put your name on the back, and you may pick it up after the first week of January.

We're Hosting a

Luminary Drive

We are thankful to the Boy Scouts from Troops 252 and 130, who are generously volunteering their time and service to make this special time of remembrance possible.

If you would like a luminary placed on your loved one’s grave, please fill out the enclosed form and return it to our office at Munden Funeral Home, 2112 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC. Luminaries will be available at Carteret Memorial Gardens and Gethsemane Memorial Park on the afternoon of December 14th.

The Boy Scouts devote many hours to setting up and lighting the luminaries. If you wish to make a donation for the luminary, please make checks payable to “Boy Scouts”.

Please note, in case of inclement weather, the event may be canceled. Any updates will be posted on the Facebook pages of Gethsemane Memorial Park, Carteret Memorial Gardens, and Munden Funeral Home.

The luminaries will be lit at dusk we invite you, your family, and friends to join us in this moment of reflection and remembrance.
